Summary: Avalanche has something to say to Rogue.
Notes: Written for15pairings prompt "Shut Up & Listen". This is my first try at writing a Rogue/Avalanche fanfic. I’ve been a fan for a while, and well I decided I should write one since there aren’t that many fics for them.

“Will you shut up and listen?” Lance asked, grabbing hold of her shoulders. Rogue stopped rambling and glared up at him.
“Look, I’m not good at emotions or this mushy stuff any better then you are, but Rogue…” Lance paused, looking into her eyes, hoping. “I love you… not Kitty, not Tabitha, or any other girl. I love you; I want to be with you… I don’t care if you’re an X-geek or the untouchable Goth woman you act like.”
Rogue frowned up at him; there were a few tears in her eyes. No one had ever said anything remotely romantic like this to her before. She wanted to be with him too, but she was still worried. “Lance--”
Lance interrupted her, tucking her bangs behind her ears. “I know… you’re worried about your powers. Look, I don’t care. Sure I would love to touch you, but I’d rather have your love then nothing at all, Rogue.”
“But in time you will, you will want to be touched and want to have sex… I won’t be able to give you that. You’ll grow frustrated and then we’ll both hurt from it.” Rogue argued, she wanted desperately for him to hold her against to him body to body already, how could he be able to stop himself from wanting that for years?
“You don’t know the future… maybe Professor X or Beast will be able to help you control your powers, but even if they don’t, I don’t care. I want to be with you, Rogue.”
He kissed her, causing her to moan and for her powers to activate. Rogue knew instantly from the thoughts from him that he was telling her the truth – that he really did love her. Pulling back before he could pass out, Rogue hugged him tightly. He kissed her on her forehead as he wrapped his arms around her as if he was shielding her from the world.
“I want to be with you too, Lance.” Rogue stated, moving her head so she could look at him. “I love you too.”
