How could a beauty like Narcissa Black possibly consider marrying that evil, stuffy, insufferable, boring, bastard Lucius Malfoy? She didn’t deserve someone like that. She needed someone with more class… someone would make her laugh and allow her to be herself, not someone’s wife to be hidden away or shown off like a trophy. She deserved someone to treasure her and would love her with his whole heart.

Someone like him.

Why couldn’t someone like him be the one for her?

“Prongs? Why do you have that glassy look in your eyes again?” Sirius Black questioned with his eyebrows raised in mocking curiosity as he smirked, “Thinking about Lily again?”

And thus the reason why James Potter couldn’t have Narcissa Black, he was in “love” with Lily Evans, although deep down, he would always love Narcissa more. She was his first love and the most beautiful woman he’ll ever know.
