100_tales prompt Assignment. First DLM fanfic... watched the movie like a month back and I totally loved it and I've been wanting to do a DLM (G/M) fic for a long time.

“I’m so fucked.” George Lass stated, collapsing down on the sofa against her friend and fellow reaper, Mason.
“Completely and totally fucked,” Mason agreed, hugging Georgia to him. “Now why are you fucked, love?”
“I’m the fucking new assignment person, that’s why!” George yelled, huffing. Mason stared at her in surprise.
“You’re the new one? Seriously?” George rolled her eyes and nodded causing Mason to nod his head. “Well if it had to be anyone, I’d say you’re a good one to be picked.”
“No I’m not… I’ve been dead like what? Five or so years? Roxy should have been chosen.”
“But she wasn’t… so obviously the great powers or whatever shit decided you should be the head reaper. They think you can do it, and I have to agree with them.”
“Well I don’t… Roxy was dead longer and she deserves it. You know how much she wanted to take over. And besides the ‘great powers’ picked Cameron to be our boss after Rube.”
“Yeah, well, maybe they tried to test us? Fuck - I don’t know, Georgie. You’ve learned a lot these past few years and you admired Rube and I believe you’ll make a good head reaper.”
George smiled at him, surprised at how comforted she felt at his reassurances. “Thanks Mason.”
“Anytime, George, anytime.” Mason stated, grinning back.
