Summary: Hermione gets hit with a curse and her true love is the only person who can save her.
Notes: Written for fivebyfiction prompt Awakened by a Kiss. Didn’t exactly turn out as good as I wanted it to, but oh well, I still kinda like it.

Fairy tales were only supposed be tales… not real life. Hermione Granger didn’t care for fairy tales, especially now that she was part of one.

“What the hell happened?” Dean cried out running towards them as Sam caught Hermione’s sleeping body.

“How the hell should I know? That thing only pointed to her.” Sam explained, before shaking Hermione’s body. “Wake up!”

Hermione Granger didn’t stir or move, which really worried Sam.

It was then that the woman who caused all this appeared near by, laughing hysterically. “True Love’s kiss is the only way to wake her stupid mortals! If isn’t kissed, that girl will stay asleep an eternity!” She laughed more before screaming in anger as Dean threw holy water on her. “I’m not some demon mortal!” She threw her hand up and Dean was thrown backwards in the air and hit a tree.

“DEAN!!” Sam screamed, he gently let Hermione down and ran over to check on his older brother.

“Ugh… that bitch really packs a punch.” Dean groaned as Sam reached him. “Shit, I’m fine Sammy. Go watch over Hermione, I’m fine.”

“Come on,” Sam said, helping Dean up. He helped him walk over to Hermione. He looked around to find the thing that started all this mess. It was no longer there, probably going somewhere else to cause pain.

“I can walk Sammy.” Dean stated, moving out Sam’s arms. He looked down at Hermione’s sleeping form. “So… you gonna kiss her? Or should I?”

Sam glared at him, which caused Dean to smirk at him. Sam rolled his eyes at his brother and glanced down at Hermione. Please let it wake her up… He thought, hoping. He kneeled beside and leaned down to kiss her lips. He hesitated an inch before his lips could meet hers, and took a deep breath before brushing his lips gently against hers.

Barely a second later Sam felt her responding, he broke the kiss to see that she was smiling up at him. Hermione grinned up at him before pulling him into another kiss – this time much more passionately.

Dean grinned at them as they shared their first kiss. “About damn time,” Dean stated, causing Hermione and Sam to break apart laughing.
