pen37. This kinda expanded a little further away from Chloe/Scott but well, this is what wanted to be written. Hope you all enjoy!
"I'm telling you, it's always about the green rocks.” Chloe Sullivan stated… again.
“So these green rocks end up changing people into mutants?” Scott Summers asked, glancing over to her
“Apparently, but it does something to their mind and ends up causing them to go insane. I’m still not quite sure why, but I do believe it’s the Kryptonite that’s causing the changes to their minds.”
“I must say this intrigues me greatly,” Hank McCoy stated studying the Kryptonite in his hands.
“I have to agree, we’ll need to study it,” Professor Charles Xavier stated holding out a hand for Chloe to shake. “It was an interesting visit, Ms. Sullivan. I hope we’ll see more of you.”
“I hope to see more of you all as well, thanks for having me and helping me out.”
“It is not a problem, Ms. Sullivan.” Charles said, with a knowing smile. He glanced over to his ex-student, “Scott, could you please show Ms. Sullivan to her room?”
He smiled politely and nodded, “Of course.”
Chloe thanked both Charles and Hank again before leaving the room with Scott. Hank smiled knowingly after them, before bringing his attention to his old mentor. Charles sadly smiled after them.
“What is it Charles?”
“She’s been through a lot with these Kryptonite infected people and she has all the reason to hate them, but she doesn’t. She wants to heal them. And she could…”
“What do you mean by that?”
“She has a gift, Hank, she was the one Cerebro had detected.”
“Does she know she’s a mutant?”
“Yes, but she believes it was the Kryptonite that made her into what she is.”
“Will you tell her that it wasn’t?”
“I will, but right now, she needs to relax and get used to the idea of being here…” A smile appeared on Charles’s lips. “That is if she stays here with Scott.”
Hank laughed, “You see it as well, then? I thought I saw those two flirting. I have to say I’m very happy for Scott. Chloe seems like a great girl.”
“That she is, Hank, that she is. I’m very happy that Scott was able to finally move on and find Chloe.”
