“Did we wake you?”
“It’s okay. I couldn’t sleep anyway.”
Rogue stared at the group of the sheepish-looking new mutants and wished she had the energy to join in whatever shenanigans they were in the middle of, but she didn’t – couldn’t. Not after everything that happened with Kurt and Mystique. She thought she made the right decision, but if she did, wouldn’t she feel better? Feel relieved at least? But no.
She lets them scurry past her door without another word and continued on in the opposite direction. If she couldn’t sleep, she might as well let Kitty sleep peacefully.
