PART 1
“What the hell is that?” Bucky asked grumpily, staring at the lit-up Christmas tree which he had spent last night decorating. It’s the first Christmas tree he’s put up since before the war, and he did not expect to see any stowaways in the tree nor find any of the broken ornaments below the tree. Most of the ornaments that got knocked off were fine, since most were “shatterproof” but the one set he got that reminded him of his mother’s in the 30s most were under the tree broken.
“Just a kitten,” Wanda explained with a small innocent smile.
PART 2
He glared at the white kitten in the tree. “And just where did it come from?”
Biting her bottom lip, Wanda explained cheekily, “Well, when a male cat and a female cat get together–”
“Very funny,” Bucky stated finally catching her eyes and his anger finally seemed to deflate as he took in how amused Wanda was with him and the cat.
“Don’t worry, I’ll get her.” Wanda’s eyes light up as she uses her powers to gently take the kitten out of the tree and into her arms and quickly used her powers to fix the broken ornaments.

“The boys found her after you put up the outside lights and left for the mission,” Wanda explained, stroking the kitten behind the ears with soft smile. “I didn’t have the heart to tell them no.”
Bucky sighed deeply at that, knowing it was true and he wasn’t much better – not unless whatever it was would put them in danger. A kitten? Not really dangerous, although he wasn’t sure if a pet would be a good idea. He moved his right hand closer to the kitten.
“She’s cute,” Bucky admitted as he petted the kitten which caused it to purr.
PART 4
“So what're we going to name her?” Wanda asked, not even bothering to hide her grin as she watched the kitten climb up Bucky’s arm only to settle down on his shoulder.
Bucky didn’t mind the little stowaway anymore – with the ornaments now fixed – she was quickly growing on him and it wasn’t just because Wanda and the boys clearly loved the kitten.
“What about Alpine?” Billy asked, his eyes lighting up with blue as he used his powers to dangle a string near the kitten.
“Yeah! That sounds perfect,” Tommy agreed laughing as the kitten batted at the string.
