seasons_of_fandom CHALLENGE 1.3: PRESS YOUR LUCK prompt write a drabble based on song lyrics and
100ships prompt coffee. I struggled with this prompt honestly. I haven't listened to music in ages for inspiration for fics, but weirdly this song: "Coffee by Chappell Roan" kept coming back to me even though it actually doesn't really have much in the way of it besides well, coffee. Anyway I binged this show the other week or two and caught up to S2 and well these two are definitely my OTP for the show.

“I'll meet you for coffee,” The words tug at her heart, wishing he’d have said dinner someplace or maybe invite her over to his apartment sooner than that.
Her memories were back, maybe not complete like they would have liked, but definitely most, but one of the best memories she’s received within the last few weeks was the image of him saying he loves her. But she’s put him through so much these past few months – losing her memories of the past eight years (thinking she was married her ex-husband and thinking she was still in love with him), losing her memories that included being with him and knowing she loved him in return and she knows she has a lot to make up for. She knows part of him must have been afraid she had lied to him when she returned those words to him. She needs to make it up to him, because she hadn’t. And Jake has made her fall in love with him all over again, and that was just him.
“At the park?” She asks softly, wishing she could pull him into her arms again, hoping he’d get her hint of the memory she remembered. They’d found a coffee place by his place, nestled right by his local park, and they’d go to anytime their schedules allowed them to spend mornings together, which granted were more often than not. It’s only been a few weeks since the last kiss they stole, and she’s not sure how she managed to keep her hands to herself since.
He stares at her with the same look, when she had told him that she remembered him telling her he loved her. As if just her words could bring life back into his whole being – and the love in his eyes shined in his eyes – and she never wanted to lose that sight or the memory of him again. She barely holds herself, wishing she could run into his arms again.
“Well, it's never just coffee with us.” He finally manages to say with a grin and the fear leaves her.
THE END.
