mcu100 prompt shield. I'm oddly intrigued by John/Bob pairing and this is the only thing I could think to do for this challenge or them so far.
PART 1
“Hey you think you can fix my shield?” John Walker questions after the reporters finally leave them alone. Bob stops short of him, with the others a few steps ahead of them. The others barely contain their amusement at the taco shield in John’s hands.
“Me? Um, huh, I guess?” Bob grabs the bent shield from John. At John’s excited grin, Bob smiles in return. They had a rough couple days and they did not have a good start, but John wasn’t all bad. Breathing in deeply, Bob tries to unbend the shield. The others watch in anticipation.
Nothing happens.
PART 2
In the end, John Walker uses his new taco shield instead of getting a new one. And not just because he couldn’t just get a new one, which he could still get despite Ava’s claims otherwise. He’s not quite sure why he keeps it, but he’s oddly fond of it and while it doesn’t quite do as a good job at coming back like it did when it was normal shaped, he can still protect people with it and every time he looks at it reminds him that he’s not invincible. It reminds him of Bob.
He’s not alone anymore.
