“So what do you think?” Chloe asked, as he entered the Watchtower behind her. Oliver Queen eyes studied the room, his smile turning into a grin.
“It looks good, sidekick.” He stated, moving forward to study the room closer.
The room was transformed to feel homier than it had been before. The room still had quite a few computers and screens, but surrounding them was aspects that each member of the team brought to it. The walls had depictions of the ocean, lightning, black canaries, clouds, planets and stars in a night sky, and a city with its own Watchtower in the center. The kitchen looked more lived in than it ever had, and there was now a dinning station adjacent to it that could fit more than just the members of their team. There were pictures of the team around the place, pictures of Lois and of the Kents… Some of them he hadn’t even realized there had been a camera around. The living room station now had a large flat-screen television (Bart and Victor would especially love it), next to it in a cabinet there was a bunch of DVDs he knew were ones that the team’s favorites – even found some of his own favorites amongst them.
“The team will definitely like it.” Oliver stated, knowing that was what Chloe feared more – that the team wouldn’t like it. “But, why?”
“Courtney suggested it to me… Our team hasn’t really been acting as a team for a while now. Not since Jimmy’s death. And yeah I knew that, but I always pushed that thought away. But lately the lack of the team has been growing, and I can’t have that. I can’t loose you guys as well. We need to become a family, and maybe making this place friendlier will jumpstart our family.”
Oliver grinned, pulled Chloe closer to him. “It will. The team will definitely like it, and we’ll never leave you Chloe. I’ll never leave you.”
Chloe chuckled softly, eyes sparkling. “Not to sound like an old movie cliché, but… promise?”
“Promise, sidekick,” Oliver whispered against her lips before capturing them into a kiss.
