“Next scene!” Ms. Darbus shouted across the stage. Sharpay and Troy walked to the next scene of the Spring Play.
“Why do you have to leave?” Sharpay asked, her voice cracked as tears appeared in her eyes. Troy wrapped his arms around her.
“I must fight for our home, my love,” he loudly whispered - loud enough for everyone to hear, but soft enough to be as if it was just the two of them.
“I know… I want you to here, in my arms.”
“I will be, love, I’ll be in your embrace again,” Troy promised, and they kissed.
