“It was you,” Leah stated softly, causing Jacob to glance over at her in surprise.
“Me what?” Jacob asked, trying to act nonchalance.
You called me beautiful… Leah thought loudly. She wanted to shout it, tell him thank you, to kiss him, ANYTHING, but she didn’t. She didn’t want to get hurt again, and just shook her head in disappointment.
“Nothing, never mind… sorry.” Leah stated turning away and jogged out of his line of sight before quickly taking off her clothes and transforming into a small gray wolf. Jacob stared after her, wanting to go after her… but didn’t.
