Summary: Peter tries to calm Rogue down.

brokengem. I finally managed to write something for this prompt… I hope you like it. Sorry its so short!
“He got away!” Rogue yelled angrily. “I should have gone after him.”
“Rogue… calm down. I know how you feel, seriously, but it’s not your fault he got away.” Spider-Man stated firmly, trying to calm his angry girlfriend.
Rogue shook her head. “It is so… I knew I didn’t have to stay there and look after the kid… she would have been just fine there and I could have gotten him. He could be rotting in jail right now, but no he’s off celebrating his freedom.”
Spider-Man wrapped his arms around her, stopping her from pacing back and forth. “Rogue, you know for a fact, we’ll get him. I promise you that. The important thing right now is that little girl back there is perfectly fine thanks to you.”
Rogue sighed and nodded; she took a deep breath before wrapping her own arms around him and leaned her head against him. Hearing his heart beat calmed her. Rogue knew he was right… the girl would have probably had gotten hurt from the debris falling if she hadn’t been there trying to calm the girl down. She just wanted to hurt him so badly for hurting the kid. The little girl didn’t deserve something like that.
Peter kissed her on her forehead before pulling away slightly.
“I think we need to get some sleep… we both had a long day,” Peter stated. Rogue smiled softly up at him and nodded. He grinned and picked her up bridal style before jumping off the building, her arms quickly wrapping around his neck so his hands would be free to eject spider-web so they could be able to swing home.
“You know, I can fly…” Rogue stated with a laugh along with Peter.
“I know… but I love it this way.”
